HEAT IS ENERGY
AEInnova uses Space technology to create energy from industrial Waste Heat.
Its patented technology allows to create Negative Carbon Energy from practically any hot surface.
HEAT IS ENERGY

THE PROBLEM
GLOBAL PROBLEM
European industry lose yearly up to 700TWh, practically the 21% of total Euro27 Energy needs in one year.
In most cases this lose corresponds up to 65% of their energy consumption.
COP21 and European Commmission H2020 goals compromises a global energy consumtion and carbon emissions reduction for all the planet.
WHRU
The Waste Heat recovery unit creates up to 25Wh peak of clean energy from practically any hot surface, reducing up to 160 Kg/year carbon dioxide.
Wide variety of temperature operation ranges (150ºC - 650ºC) for all big industries (Iron&steel, cement, Oil&gas, paper, glass, petrochemical, etc).
In addition, these units are sensorized allowing to monitor in real time the energy produced.
...no wiring, no complicated installations, no problems...

THE PRODUCT

We have developed a modular product consisting of 4 parts:
1) The Thermal Battery, capable of converting waste heat into electricity.
2) The IoT Sensors Node, capable of handling up to 6 sensors and connect to FI-WARE cloud.
3) The FI-WARE Technology, an open and powerful platform driven by EU.
4) The Monitoring Application, a SaaS style application, able to collect and monitor the data stored in the FI-WARE cloud.

THE MARKET
Our market is addressed to industrial WSN (Wireless Sensors Networks)/IoT (Internet of Things) and Energy Harvesting, all of them with important growth forecasts.
$1.8 billion for WSN and $2.6 billion for Energy Harvesting by 2024

Competitors
There are some companies that build thermal batteries (Marlow or Perpetua Power), a lot of companies that build sensors (GE or Honeywell) and some early stages IoT platforms.
However our solution provides the only system that offers an integrated solution: from sensors powered by the industrial waste heat to the information management through a user-friendly web application.
